HPU MLAX Adds Bressan and Bridle To 2016 Roster

HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point University men’s lacrosse head coach Jon Torpey has announced the addition of two transfers, Colin Bressan and Dallas Bridle to the 2016 roster.

Bressan and Bridle will join the team in January and will be eligible to participate in the upcoming 2016 spring season.

“Both Dallas and Colin are guys that we feel are going to be great additions to the program in terms of their character and their work ethic,” Torpey said. ” We are excited to welcome them to the High Point family.”

Bressan, a goalie from Charlottesville, Va., comes to HPU after spending his first collegiate season at the University of Mary Washington. As a freshman he was named Capital Athletic Conference co-Rookie of the Year after posting 141 saves and a .600 save percentage. The sophomore played high school lacrosse for Bo Perriello at St. Anne-Belfield before spending a post-grad year at Mercersburg Academy.

Bridle, a junior midfielder, hails from Orangeville, Ontario. Last season, he helped the University of Denver to a national championship appearing in eight games and tallying an assist. As a freshman he started one game and posted six goals. Prior to playing at Denver, Bridle played at The Hill Academy where he served as team captain while earning team MVP honors as a senior. He also was a member of the Orangeville Junior A Northmen and earned Lacrosse Rookie of the Year in 2013.

Bressan, Bridle and the rest of the Panthers open the regular season on Feb. 12 at 7:00 p.m. against Duke.
