Wrestling Report:Southeast Guilford HS improves to (20-0) with 66-9 victory over Grimsley Whirlies

The Southeast Guilford Falcons made pretty quick work of the Grimsley Whirlies tonight and in the process the Falcons ran their season record to a perfect (20-0) and on they go…..

Southeast has two wrestlers that have nearly won all of their matches, with Garrett Church sporting a (42-1) mark in the 182-pound class and Evan Surgeon has jumped out to thirty-nine wins against just one loss in the 220-pound class….

Church(42-1) and Surgeon(39-1) and SEG still unbeaten at (20-0) for 2015/2016…..

Falcons are flying as the high school wrestling regular season winds and the dual team tournament and the state tournament are fast approaching and as the clock nears midnight on this season for our area teams, there still may a future Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin or Brock Lesnar looming out there somewhere and maybe a Dan Gable, ‘Gable-lock’ may be coming at us just around the corner….Benjamin and Lesnar excelled at the University of Minnesota and in the NCAA’s, while Angle attended Clarion University(Pennsylvania) and he won Olympic Gold(Also two-time NCAA Heavyweight Champ)….Gable laid/earned fame out in Iowa….

SEG is the team to beat in our area right now…..
