Denver’s Defense out-does Carolina Panthers’ offense and Cam Newton has to jump on that loose ball/fumble

Denver’s defense, built around Von Miller, was way tough for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at Super 50…I thought the Panthers’ defense didn’t play all that bad considering the fact that Carolina’s offense turned the ball way too many times and that kept the pressure on the Panthers’ defense all day long…Big day on ‘D’ for Carolina’s Kony Ealy…For Ealy, interception(nice one-handed grab by the big man), forced fumble, recovered fumble, 3 sacks, 2 QB hits and numerous tackles…

Cam Newton has to jump into the pile and try and recover that Panthers’ fumble down around their 10-yard line that led to Denver’s last TD of the game….Newton just stood there and looked at the ball, while Denver was proceeding to pick up/cover the loose ball/fumble…It is almost like Cam hesitated for a second and thought about going for the ball, but then he laid back and just stood their and watched the ball go to the Denver Broncos…You have to to jump into that pile and get that loose ball, no matter what position you are playing…

Will the Carolina Panthers now fall in line and join the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills as teams that get to the Super Bowl, but never win it????

Four times was never the charm for Bud Grant and his Vikings and the story goes the same way for Marv Levy and his Bills….I guess if you don’t lose the big game four straight years it isn’t as quite as obvious….

On we go now to Super Bowl 51 and where is that game being played???

  1. Maybe we will see one of the four teams that have never been to a Super Bowl at Super Bowl 51…

Or who knows, maybe we will see two of the four teams that have never been in a Super Bowl at Super Bowl 51…

Anybody know those four teams without having to look it up???

Use your fingers/use your toes and who knows, it may come to you?

Anybody got those four teams, and it is a bit interesting here on the day after…..

I have them(all four) in my little jar, but I will not open it up, I want one of our readers to let these four teams out????

  2. To make sure we finish up and give you those four teams that have never been to the Super Bowl, they are:

Detroit Lions…One of the oldest teams in the league, they have been around forever…

Cleveland Browns…Have been around a long time too, with two different versions….The one that went to Baltimore and then that came later…

Houston Texans…Have never been and never went when they were the Houston Oilers either, but did go when Houston moved to Tennessee, but that was the Titans and not a Houston team…

Last it would be the Jacksonville Jaguars…The Jaguars and the Carolina Panthers came into the league the same year, but the Panthers have now in the Big Game twice, but Jacksonville has yet to make the trip…And without researching the year they both came into th league, I’m thinking it was back in 1995….
