Wolfpack, Aggies to Kick Off Rare Day-Night Doubleheader

N.C. State and A&T to Play 1:00PM Game on April 23, 2016/Followed by Hoppers vs. Power at 7:00PM

(Greensboro, NC) The Greensboro Grasshoppers announced today that N.C. State and A&T will play at NewBridge Bank Park on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 1:00PM Later that evening the Greensboro Grasshoppers will host the Lakewood Blueclaws with the first pitch scheduled for 7:00PM.

“Elliott (NC State Head Baseball Coach Elliott Avent), called me back in the fall and asked if we were interested in hosting this game and I jumped at the opportunity, said Grasshoppers President and General Manager Donald Moore. It gives us the rare opportunity to showcase a Top-20 nationally ranked program playing one of our local schools. We’re excited and look forward to a great day of baseball,” Moore continued.

“We’re proud to visit Greensboro’s NewBridge Bank Park. It’s a terrific facility in a great city. We’re excited to play in front of our great fans in that area, and to compete against North Carolina A&T,” said NC State Head Coach Elliott Avent.

“We have a great relationship with Coach Avent and are very excited we could work it out to play at NewBridge Bank Park. This is a great opportunity for our players and we look forward to hosting NC State at such at a first-class venue,” said North Carolina A&T State University Head Coach Ben Hall.

Tickets pricing will be $10.00 for Adults and $8.00 for Seniors, Children 5-12, and active Military personnel.
