GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and Glenn faced off in an entertaining semifinal matchup of the 2nd and 3rd seeds in the Piedmont Triad 4-A Conference Tournament. The Vikings were able to take control of the game in the 2nd quarter where they extended their lead from three to thirteen points by the half. In the 2nd half, it was more of the same as Northwest continued to play solid basketball on both ends of the court in route to a 79-57 final. The Vikings advance to play Southwest Guilford on Friday night at East Forsyth in the Championship game.
–David Funderburg led Northwest with 17 points and Jalen Spicer had a double-double of 16 points and 11 assists. Jaylen Gore finished 13 points and 6 assists for the Vikings while Tre Turner had his own double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds to go along with 5 assists. Reggie Davis controlled the boards for Northwest with 11 rebounds and the Vikings also got solid contributions from Thomas Hennigan, Matt Rakes, and Riley Edwards in a true team win.
–Chrishawn Lindsey led Glenn with 19 points while Toby Brown and Khyre Thompson each scored 11 points for the Bobcats.
