BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After a pair of outstanding performances at this weekend’s Big South Championship, redshirt-junior forward Miles Bowman Jr. has been named to the league’s 2016 all-tournament team.

Bowman averaged an impressive 21.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and shot 72.2 percent (13-18) from the field to push the Panthers into the Big South semifinals for the first time since 2010-11.

He is High Point’s first Big South All-Tournament Team selection since 2007.

“Miles has delivered for us in unbelievable ways the last three or four weeks,” heas coach Scott Cherry said. “That kid is going to fight until that final horn sounds. He has a big heart and he cares so much. Regardless of the situation, he’s going to do everything he can on every possession to win the game. I love the kid to death and I’m realty excited for his future with our program.”
