College Women’s Tennis Final – Randolph-Macon 9, Guilford 0

ASHLAND, Va. – Host Randolph-Macon College downed visiting Guilford College, 9-0, in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match Saturday. The Yellow Jackets lost just four games in three doubles victories and won all six singles contests in straight sets.

Caitlin Delmas won at both first singles and doubles for Randolph-Macon (2-0, 1-0 ODAC). She teamed with Sid Corrigan for an 8-4 victory at first doubles over the Quakers’ Katie Claggett and Riley Caruana. Delmas pulled out a 7-5, 6-2, triumph over Claggett at first singles, which was the closest of the six singles contests.

Kelsie Grice downed Guilford’s Nora Prokosch at second singles, 6-1, 6-0, and teamed with Gaby Tersingi for an 8-0 win over Fernanda Gonzalez and Leigh Fishman. Tersingi won her fourth-singles contest, 6-2, 6-0, over Gonzalez.

Coach Dave McCain’s Quakers (1-2, 1-1 ODAC) visit league-rival Virginia Wesleyan College Sunday (3/6).
