Sophomore Ty King went 2 for 3 including a 2RBI triple to right center to blow the game open in the top of the fifth and propel the NW Guilford Lady Vikings to a 10-0, 5-inning, run-rule victory at Glenn on a cold evening in Kernersville. Gracen Staunton struck out 3, and walked 1 in route to a 2 hit shutout – leaning on a strong Lady Viking defense. This victory places NW Guilford alone atop the Piedmont Triad 4A conference standings. NW Guilford travels to Ledford on Thursday evening for a tough out of conference test in Thomasville.
