Back at the Shack tonight with former Western Guilford baseball coach Brett Stell, Dale Moser, the new coach of the Greensboro American Legion baseball team and the Robinson brothers, Andrew and Luke, from the Eastern Guilford baseball team….
First pitch is set for 6pm and the first guest tonight will be Brett Stell, the baseball coach that led the WG Hornets to back-to-back State 3-A Baseball Titles, back in the 80’s….Scott Muscat, Jerry Russell, Jimmy Duncan, Tony Chavis, the Mann brothers, Coach Stell had quite a team back then and those teams still rank among the best in Guilford County high school history….Those teams won NCHSAA Titles….That is what made them some good and made them memorable….Check out this show tonight at www.greensborosportsradio.com
Baseball has changed quite a bit in the county since back in those days and tonight, Coach Stell will try and shed some light on what has changed, what is different today, from what it was back then….You have three teams located very close together that are having off years in WG, NWG and Ragsdale and maybe Coach Stell, can go to the well and tell us what is going on….He has some good theories, I’m sure and will look at those this evening…Coach Stell is very analytical and his psychology degree/study has come in very handy over the years…..Looking back at WG, looking at the Guilford County teams today….Coach Stell will take/make the first pitch at 6, from the Shane’s Rib Shack on Westover Terrace…..
Dale Moser will coach the new Guilford County American Legion baseball team for the Summer of 2016 and tonight we will get the current word on the upcoming Greensboro Red Wings and how the progress is coming along as their prepare for their first season of competition, this Summer….What schools does he have lined up, what field or fields will he be using and when does practice begin and how about the first game of the year???

Next up around 7pm will have the Robinson Brothers, Andrew and Luke, in from the Eastern Guilford High School baseball team….Luke just committed to Western Carolina this week and next you will have Luke, Andrew and Caleb Robinson, the three brothers playing baseball together again, reunited on the same team, at Western Carolina…..
We will talk to Andrew, then Luke about their baseball careers and where they think those careers are going for the long haul and what about the post-season this year for the Eastern Guilford Wildcats….Senior season, looking to just get it done, or looking to make a long run the NCHSAA 3-A Playoffs….Any baseball burn-out along the way to WCU, from Eastern Guilford and previously with Shining Light Academy???
Third and fourth pitch will come into the Robinson Brothers from Eastern Guilford….The Robinson Brothers replacing the Holt Brothers as Eastern’s all-time best-known brothers right? Well maybe not yet, but you do have three Robinsons overall and there were just two Holts, but then again you never know how far the Robinsons will go, you just never know….Just look at Brooks and Frank, they did pretty good by our modern-day standards…Brooks used to come to Greensboro back in the day to pump up the Crown Gas Stations, but he will be nowhere in sight tonight, we have Andrew and Luke and we hope to also delve into some conversation their dad Danny and found out it all got this far, with now three sons set to be Catamounts at Western Carolina next season and all three may end up in the starting lineup together again, it is not out of the realm of possibility….Check out tonight’s show www.greensborosportsradio.com
Looking at Danny Robinson on the fifth pitch tonight and that will also be about time for the sixth inning too and that is when we bring in Paul from Shane’s and get the game plan on what is on plate for tonight at Shane’s….Will they have a full count with Paul, Troy, Big Mike, Chelsey and Curtis at Shane’s? Will our plate be loaded with Ribs, BBQ, Chicken or vegetables, or all of the above….Chicken Tenders, Chicken Wings, the BBQ Chicken, the Chicken Salad, if the San Diego Chicken hears about this, he will be there at Shane’s tonight too…..Maybe Paul Konerko will stop by as well….
