Made the trip down to Southeast Guilford(Metro 4-A Tourney) and the SEG-Dudley baseball game was postponed until tomorrow at 7pm-ish…
The Page-Smith game got under way/started around 7pm and the game lasted until the Lightning and rain took in the bottom of the Second Inning with Page in front 10-0 over the Smith Golden Eagles…Kevin Westlake with a Two-run home run for Page and Page had about as many doubles as there were puddles tonight….Watkins, Pegram, Hardin, all of the Pirates making strong contact out toward that gap in left center tonight….
Conventional wisdom tells us this game will resume at 5pm tomorrow with Page in front 10-0 and at the plate in the bottom of the second Inning….
Dudley vs. Southeast Guilford to follow at approximately 7:30pm….SEG had the plate and the mound covered, but don’t think that they got the infield covered with the tarp before those rains hit tonight, but you rest assured that they will have it covered over night, tonight….
Asheboro vs. Ledford, at Ledford, was called due to lightning in the early innings with Southern Guilford vs. Southwestern Randolph due to follow that game over at Ledford in Mid-Piedmont 3-A Baseball tonight….Ledford was up on Asheboro and I think it was 1-0 Panthers in the bottom of the 1st….
There was some softball going on down at the Southeast Guilford fields, but not sure if they got any games in tonight and I do not think that they did and that is probably pretty much the story for all of the softball tonight…..
