Five of the eight teams from the 2016 Farm Bureau Easter Baseball Tournament, hosted by the Southeast Guilford Falcons at NewBridge Bank Park back in late March/early April, well 5 of those 8 teams are still trucking toward NCHSAA and NCISAA State Championships…Not bad at all, 5 of the 8, still at the plate, with another Date with Destiny…You have (19-7) Northern Guilford(Farm Bureau Tournament runner-up) at home this Tuesday/tomorrow night, you have Rockingham County(20-7) in Round Three of the State Title run on the road Tuesday, the Randleman Tigers, who finished 3rd in this year’s Farm Bureau event, with the Tigers extra-inning victory over Wesleyan Christian Academy and Randleman at (24-3) overall is home tomorrow night, in Round Three of the 2-A’s and then there is the upstart team, the new-kid-on-the-block, Uwharrie Charter(17-7) and the Eagles, barely four years old as a school, Eagles on the road up at Murphy on Tuesday and the Eagles are a #5 Seed in the 1-A West and Murphy is the #4 Seed…Eagles moving fast…Plus on the NCISAA side of the park, you have the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans(19-6) playing today/Monday on their home field, at Ed Price Park in High Point and that field is located within the Simeon Stadium Complex in High Point….Trojans just behind Randleman in this year’s Farm Bureau final standings, at #4 in the fold….
