Brunswick Community College improves to 40-16 overall. This will be the Dolphins third trip to the World Series in three years, they last made it in 2014.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) -from WECT TV in Wilmington, N.C.:
Members of the baseball team at Brunswick Community College walked onto the mound bringing their “A” game last Wednesday.

“We’re all so proud,” said BCC President, Dr. Susanne Adams. “This is a great day.”

Wednesday was Graduation Day for more than a dozen members of the Dolphins. The school moved graduation early for the team, so they could focus on the upcoming World Series tournament.

“We get students through athletics in junior college,” stated Adams. “The reality is some of those students would never consider going to college if it wasn’t for sports.”

The goal is a balance – entice them with baseball and engage them in academics.
