Red Wings pick up first win of their season 7-3 over Kannapolis is 10 innings.

Jacob Dubs (Greensboro Day) gets the start for the Red Wings. J. Bundy starts for Kannapolis.

Red Wings get a walk from Forrest Brothers (Southeast Guilford) and Andrew Robinson (Eastern Guilford) laces one through the middle to move Brothers to first with 1 out. That would be it as Bundy would get to fly outs to end the top of the 1st inning.
Jacob Dubs would only allow a single in the bottom half of the inning 0-0 after 1…

2nd inning would be quiet as both teams would get nothing going.

3rd inning would see the Red Wings score first on a 2 out double off the bat of Andrew Robinson to score Gavin Taylor (Rockingham). Dubs would get another 3 up 3 down inning to keep the lead.

4th inning would be nothing for the Red Wings. Kannapolis would get 2 runs in scoring position with 2 outs but Jacob would slam the door shut with his 7th Strikeout of the game. 1-0

5th inning Post 53 would get 2 two out singles from Brothers and Andrew Robinson but couldn’t score them. Chris Scheibly (Southeast Guilford) would come in to pitch for the Red Wings and would retire the side with 3 straight strikeouts. 1-0

6th inning seen Post 53 load the bases with 2 outs on Jay Zarate (Rockingham) hit by pitch, Austin McDade (Southeast Guilford) line drive single and Camden Williamson (Dudley) walk but could not push one across. Scheibly would give up a run walk and double to tie the game. 1-1

7th inning the Red Wings would answer back in the 7th for a run after 3 walks to Brothers, Andrew Robinson, and Luke Robinson (Eastern Guilford) and Bryce Mericka (Northeast Guilford) would bring home Brothers on a fielder’s choice. Scheibly would hit leadoff batter and Kannapolis would sacrifice the runner to 2nd. Kannapolis would get a single and intentional walk to load the bases, but would tie the game on a hit by pitch. 2-2

8th inning the Red Wings would answer back again for another run. With 2 outs Brothers got walked and Andrew Robinson would get hit by a pitch when Luke Robinson would drive in brothers with a line drive to centerfield. Jay Zarate would take the ball in the 8th and give up a leadoff single and they would sacrifice the runner to second. Austin McDade would erase the runner trying to move to 3rd and Zarate would get the last out on a grounder to 2nd. 3-2

9th inning Post 53 could only get a line drive single from Bryce Mericka. Zarate would get a leadoff strikeout to start the 9th. The second batter would get a single. Then another strikeout. Down to their last out Kannapolis would double in the tying run to send it into extra inning. 3-3

10th inning Williamson would draw a leadoff walk. Gavin Taylor (Rockingham) would drop the bunt and both runners would be safe on the bunt single. Brothers would single to center to score Williamson. After a groundout Luke Robinson would be intentionally walked to load the bases when Jay Zarate would blast a double to deep Kraft to clear the bases. Andrew Robinson would come in and pitch the 9th and shut it down 3 up 3 down for the first win of the season for Post 53 Red Wings (1-0) 7-3
