Here is a gist of today’s updated report:
Left fielder Stone Garrett will miss at least the next two months with a lacerated right thumb, and first baseman Josh Naylor has been suspended without pay for accidentally cutting his friend and roommate with a knife.
Garrett needed three sutures to close the cut on his hand. He went on the disabled list Friday and flew to Miami over the weekend.
It looks like he’s going to be out 8-to-10 weeks before he can resume activity and Naylor is suspended for the next week or 10 days. He’s no longer with the club. He’s in extended (spring training) without pay.
