George Carter got the start for the Reds and worked three innings, giving up no earned runs and Carter had four strikeouts…Nick Rogers came on for two innings and he allowed 0 runs/0 hits and Rogers struck out three Catawba Valley Stars….

Rogers also had a home run for the Reds in the 9th and that big blast by Rogers helped ignite the Reds’ rally…

Probably the top defensive night for the Reds was turned in by Colby Keene, as Keene was shining in the field for the Reds all night long…

Another good night on offense for catcher Jacob Vernon and he continues to boost the Reds, while they work off the rust from some players that have been on the shelf for some time and with the Reds, they will be ready, when they begin to sink their teeth into full-fledged Greensboro NABA regular season play…

Thursday was a great day for Dylan Wilkinson, as he hit two home runs to carry High Point Post 87 HiToms to a 13-3 victory over the Carolina Pirates at Finch Field in seven innings.

Six runs in the first three innings helped High Point Post 87 HiToms blow out the Carolina Pirates. A two-run home run by Evan Edwards, an RBI single by Timmy Fischvogt, , and an RBI single by Johnny Wagner in the first inning fueled High Point Post 87 HiToms’ offense early.

High Point Post 87 HiToms hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for High Point Post 87 HiToms came when Wilkinson homered in the third and fourth innings.

Bryce Lance recorded the win for High Point Post 87 HiToms. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered six hits.

High Point Post 87 HiToms’ Kip Brandenburg, Wilkinson and Edwards combined for seven hits and 10 RBIs.

High Point Post 87 HiToms answered the Carolina Pirates’ top inning with one run of its own in the third. High Point Post 87 HiToms scored on a solo home run by Wilkinson.

High Point Post 87 HiToms increased its lead with four runs in the fourth. A error scored Nick Goard for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by Wilkinson’s three-run home run, plating Brandenburg and Edwards.

High Point Post 87 HiToms survived the Carolina Pirates’ surge and put up three runs of its own in the fifth. High Point Post 87 HiToms scored on a three-run double by Brandenburg.
