The Powerade State Games kicks into full gear this weekend beginning with Opening Ceremonies at WRAL Soccer Park in Raleigh on Friday, June 17th. Here is a summary of the high school related tournaments being held as part of the Powerade State Games this year.
High School Baseball
Dates – June 15-19. The High School Baseball Tournament begins tomorrow with scout workouts at the USA Baseball Complex. Players tried out to make one of eight regional teams across the state. Tournament play starts on Thursday and runs through Sunday, with all games taking place at the USA Baseball National Training Center in Cary. We expect over 80 professional and college scouts to be in attendance. Visit the High School Baseball page on our website for a detailed schedule and a list of players that made each team.
Also, this year the NC vs SC All-Star Baseball Challenge will take place as part of the Powerade State Games. They play two games, one at 8pm on Wednesday and the other at 1:30pm on Thursday at the USA Baseball National Training Complex. More information can be found here
High School Softball
