GREENSBORO, N.C. – John Grimes and Levi Grogan received Honorable Mention All-American honors, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced.

“This is a much deserved honor for both individuals,” Head Coach Dirk Fennie said.

Grimes, who also received All-American honors last year, finished his senior campaign with a team-leading 74.1 stroke average in 25-rounds. Grimes picked up his lone individual win at the Royal Lakes Invitational after finishing the 36-hole event at 4-under par. He also recorded top-10 finishes at the Transylvania Invitational, the Flower City Preview, and the Camp LeJeune Intercollegiate.

“John continued his strong play this year, no different than his previous three seasons, and he was a joy to coach,” Fennie said. “It is always fun to see your players win tournaments and grow as individuals.

“John will be missed, but remembered as one of my most talented players. ”

Grogan, a sophomore from Canton, N.C., had a strong first season with the Pride. He transferred to Greensboro College in the fall from Mars Hill University, and made an immediate impact by winning the Transylvania Invitational with a three-round total on 7-under par.

Following the opening invitational, Grogan finished the season with a 74.3 scoring-average in 25 rounds, while recording three other top-10 finishes.

Fennie said, “Levi had an awesome start to the year by winning the first event of the year, and was our solid No. 2 for the rest of the season,”
