Kernersville Bulldogs drop CVCL Doubleheader to Lenoir Oilers on Sunday:Oilers too slick as ‘Dogs couldn’t get bite to match their bark

The Lenoir Oilers pitching and defense shut down the bats of the Kernersville Bulldogs sweeping a doubleheader in Lenoir 9-4 and a walk off 3-2 decision in game two.

In game one Adam Kirkman was sailing along on the mound in a 0-0 game in the fourth but an error opened the door for a huge Oiler six-run inning.
Braxton Shetley with a homerun, Jason Smith, Zack Michalski and Kory Shumate with rbi singles paced the offense.

In game two Shetley, Jason Smith and Dawnoven Smith paced the offense. Zach Greene was solid on the mound and Seth Brim suffered the loss in relief.

Kernersville host Mooresville Tuesday night at 7PM in a battle of CVCL Divisional leaders at Glenn High School.
