Brad Spell
East head coach is entering his 18th season at Clinton High where he has compiled a career record of 231-135-21 and his teams have won 4 conference titles and made 11 state playoff appearances in 17 seasons…5 times named Conference Coach of the Year…4 times named Regional Coach of the Year…named 2015 2A State Coach of the Year…started the women’s soccer program at Clinton High in 2000 and the men’s and women’s soccer programs at the middle school in 2003 and the JV men’s program at the high school in 2009…previously served as JV men’s head basketball coach and as the varsity basketball coach, first as an assistant and then as the head coach, where he compiled a record of 97-20 and won 4 conference titles and was named Conference Coach of the Year 3 times from 2007 to 2011…born in Clinton, NC…1993 graduate of Clinton High where he played basketball and where he was named team MVP and All-State in tennis and team MVP in soccer…1993 recipient of the Ferd Johnson Sportsmanship Award…1998 graduate of East Carolina University…earned Masters of Athletic Administration from ECU in 1998…National Board Certified Teacher since 2006…says “It is very rewarding for me to have been able to watch the game of soccer grow in our small, rural community over the last 15 years. There are a lot of volunteers, coaches, parents, players, and others who have helped pioneer this sport to what it is today in Sampson County. I am truly proud, honored, and excited to represent Clinton High School and our community as the coach of the East men’s soccer all-star team in the 2016 NCCA East-West All-Star Games.”

Lynn Massey
West head coach is entering his 12th season coaching both men’s and women’s soccer teams at Bartlett Yancey High where he has complied a career record of 228-159-32 and his women’s team has won 1 conference title…3 times named Conference Coach of the Year for the men’s team and twice for the women’s team…his men’s and women’s teams have made 16 combined state playoff appearances…2009 women’s team received the NCHSAA Scholar Athlete State Team Award for Highest GPA…graduate of Bartlett Yancey High and N.C. State University…says “It is an honor and privilege to coach the men’s West all-star soccer team in the 2016 NCCA East-West All-Star Game and to work with these scholar athletes in this event.”

Chris Hadlock
East head coach is entering his 18th season in North Carolina starting at Union Pines as both Men’s and Women’s coach from 2001-2007, compiling a record of 181-97-8, and then moving to East Montgomery High where he has compiled a record of 245-52-15 from 2008 to the present season with both teams… while in the military he coached at Bartlett High and Service High in Alaska with a record of 93-30-6…compiled a career record of 519-179-29 in 27 years as head varsity coach in two states. Between 1988-92 as the JV head coach at Choctawhatchee High in Florida, his team went 123-14-4…his teams have won 23 conference regular season titles, 3 conference tournament titles, and made 29 state playoff appearances …named Conference Coach of the Year 17 times and Regional Coach of the Year once…3 times coached in the Men’s State Games, once as the head coach and twice as an assistant coach…born in Rochester, NY…1979 graduate of Marion Sr. High (NY) where he played soccer, basketball, and baseball…1996 graduate of Troy University…says “It’s an honor to be considered and selected as a coach in this event. In my 20 year military career, I was fortunate to be able to coach wherever I was. I would like to thank my wife of 35 years, Luci, and my two sons, Troy and Dalton, for allowing me to do what I love for so many years.”

West head coach is entering his 17th season at Forbush High where he has compiled a career record of 317-78-20 and his teams have won 8 conference regular season titles and made 15 state playoff appearances, including winning 5 western regional 2A titles, in 15 seasons…6 times named Conference Coach of the Year and Regional Coach of the Year…twice named State Coach of the Year…born in Winston-Salem, NC…1992 graduate of Forbush High where he was named All-Conference in soccer…1999 graduate of UNC Greensboro…says “It’s a tremendous honor to be selected to coach the West team, and I feel very blessed to participate.”
