Kernersville Bulldogs take down #1 and Nationally Ranked Mooresville Spinners with Garvey at the plate and Kirkman on the hill among game leaders for ‘Dogs

Kernersville won their 30th game of the summer by defeating the Carolina Virginia League’s first place and nationally ranked Mooresville Spinners by a 6-2 score.

Michael Garvey with a 3-4 night and 2 runs scored, Dawnoven Smith with a hit and 2 rbis paced the offense while Adam Kirkman hurled three hit baseball in six innings of work to get the win.

Eric Corlett had three strikeouts in his two innings of work and Braxton Shetley stuck out the side in the ninth.

Kernersville travels to Morganton for a Saturday night league doubleheader then returns to Glenn for a Sunday 5 PM league game against the Carolina Pirates.
