ELON, N.C. – Elon University men’s basketball head coach Matt Matheny has announced the addition of Seth Fuller (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) to the program for the upcoming 2016-17 season. Fuller joins an experienced Phoenix squad that returns 14 players and four starters from last season’s roster.
Fuller, a 5-11, 170-pound guard out of Dublin Coffman High School in Dublin, Ohio, led his team to league and district titles as a three-year starter. The Dublin, Ohio, native and 2016 OCC Central Division Player of the Year, earned First Team All-Conference honors twice, was a two-time All-Central District team member and twice was named to the Associated Press All-Ohio Team during his career with the Shamrocks.
“Seth is a perfect fit for our program,” said Matheny. “He brings toughness, coachability, and great work ethic. Seth has the ability to score and also sees the game very well. He was well coached at Dublin Coffman by Jamey Collins and he brings with him a strong desire to succeed and a work ethic to be successful.”
A member of Team Work at the AAU ranks, Fuller played at the highest level competing in the Adidas Invite Championships, the LeBron James Championships, and led his team to the final four of the Gold Super Showcase.
“One of the biggest reasons I came here was because of the coaching staff,” said Fuller. “I felt like I connected with the coaches and caught on to their vision of where this program is headed”
