Men’s Tennis Set to Host Elon Fall Invitational

ELON, N.C. – The Elon University men’s tennis team is set to host the Elon Fall Invitational, Sept. 23-25, at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.


In addition to the Phoenix, total of 15 teams will be participating in the tournament, which includes Clemson, Coastal Carolina, James Madison, Liberty, Longwood, NC Central, NC Wesleyan, Old Dominion, UNC Asheville, Charlotte, UNCG, UNCW, USC Upstate and Winthrop. The tournament draws will be updated throughout the tournament. You can access the draws here.

Below is the format for the three-day tournament will follow.

– All matches of both singles and doubles will use no add scoring
– Main Draw Singles will be two out of three sets
– Back Draw Singles will play a 10 point super breaker instead of a third set
– Doubles will be eight game pro set with a seven-point tiebreaker at 7-7

Friday will begin with doubles in the morning at 9 a.m. Each doubles duo will play two matches on Friday and one match on Sunday. Players competing in singles will play one match on Friday, two on Saturday and one on Sunday.
