The 2016 Football Season is OVER for North Stokes High School

Seems like this used to happen at Oak Ridge Military Academy back in the days, where they would start a football season and not have enough players to finish it, but you don’t see this happening all that often…..Can you think of any other cases???
North Stokes was (6-6) and made the playoffs last season and what a difference a year can make……

The team was down to just 11 players on Varsity at North Stokes and they had a record of (0-6) so far this season and had been out-scored on average by 35 points a-game this year….

Citing a lack of healthy and able varsity-level players, the North Stokes football program decided to end its 2016 varsity season, effective immediately, athletic director Michael Richardson announced Tuesday afternoon.

Led by third-year head coach Mitch Reeves, North Stokes was scheduled to take on Mount Airy this Friday night.
