This evening the Ragsdale Tigers made the trip to Randolph County for a non-conference game against another set of Tigers, the Randleman High School Tigers. Ragsdale was coming into tonight’s game winners of two straight games. Randleman come into tonight fresh off a win Monday night on the road at Jordan-Matthews to even their overall record. Both sets of Tigers would look to continue their recent winning ways tonight.

The opening period would see both teams trade baskets to start the game. With the home Tigers (Randleman) leading 4-3 just two minutes into the game, the visitors went on a 9-0 run to take a 12-4 lead halfway through the opening period. Ragsdale would never trail again after this run. The visiting Tigers would lead by as much as 14 points in the 2nd quarter before a 9-0 Randleman run cut the Ragsdale halftime lead to just five points. In the second half, Ragsdale would continue to execute well enough offensively and get timely stops on defense to pull out a road win by the final score of 57-47.

Ragsdale was led by Nick Coleman with 13 points and 7 rebounds, and Raekwon Blocker recording a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Randleman was led by Trent Lineberry with 13 points.

Ragsdale improves to 5 – 4 overall. Randleman drops to 3 – 4 overall.
