Elon Baseball Signs Five

ELON, N.C. – Elon University head baseball coach Mike Kennedy has announced that his program has signed five players to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Phoenix in 2018. Joining the program next fall will be right-handed pitcher Shayne Clowar (Marlton, N.J. / Cherokee), outfielder Andrew Flint (Barrington, R.I. / Bishop Hendricken), infielder Jack Roberts (Frederick, Md. / St. John’s College HS), right-handed pitcher Matt Tabor (Westford, Mass. / Milton Academy) and left-handed pitcher Jared Wetherbee (Fiskdale, Mass. / Avon Old Farms).

“I am really excited about this class,” said Kennedy. “Coach (Robbie) Huffstetler and Coach (Micah) Posey have done a great job filling our immediate needs with players that we believe will make an immediate impact on our program. Each of these signees are high-level, high-energy players as well as exceptional students. They embody what Elon is all about. I feel strongly that they will work well with our returning players and help us meet our goals of winning a CAA Championship and participating in NCAA post season play, with the ultimate goal being to reach to Omaha!”
