Elon Track and Field Concludes Final Day at Virginia Tech Invitational

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Elon University women’s track and field team concluded its stay at the Virginia Tech Invitational on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 14, inside the Rector Field House.

FINAL RESULTS

Lauren Brzozowski won the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.11 in the race. She also finished sixth in the 200-meters with a time of 25.50 while Desiree Ross also garnered a top-eight finish with her time of 25.64.

In the shot put, Bre’ Warren nearly matched her personal-best with a toss 45’ 7” (13.89m) and was sixth overall. Bryanna Hames was seventh with her heave of 44’ 3.5” (13.50m). Carrie Abraham was Elon’s top finisher in the triple jump with a leap of 37’ 8” (11.48m) good for eighth.

The meet ended with the Phoenix 4×400-meter relay team of Brozozwski, Katie Arbogast, Emily Dixon and Lydia Laws racing a time of 4:02.16.

Elon is back on the track next Saturday, Jan. 21, for the Wake Forest Invitational at the JDL Fast Track Complex.
