Elon’s Dockrill Adds Two for Women’s Golf

ELON, N.C. – Elon women’s golf coach Chris Dockrill has announced that a pair of golfers will join the Phoenix program for the 2017-18 season. The new additions are Haley Bookholdt (Columbus, N.J.) and Adel Vadkerti (Komaron, Hungary).

Bookholdt competed in some of the top junior golf events around the country, which included winning the Women’s Club Championship at the Old York Country Club in Chesterfield, N.J. She also has two International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) championship titles under her belt and competed in two USGA Junior Championships. Those included the 2014 US Girl’s Junior and the 2015 Women’s US Amateur in Portland. Bookholdt also placed in the top-10 at the 2015 Trusted Choice Big I National Championship. She also won the 2015 Peggy Kirk Bell Girl’s Junior in Pinehurst, N.C., shooting a final round of 70 and won in a playoff.

Vadkerti also had a decorated junior golf career, winning two titles in 2014, five titles in 2015 and two titles in 2016. Her career titles include the 2015 and 2016 Polish Junior Open Championship, the 2014 and 2015 Israel Junior Championship, the 2015 Hungarian Crown, the 2014 and 2015 Hungarian Cup, the Slovenian Junior Open Championship and the 2016 Hungarian Open Match Play Championship.
