ABOUT W&M
William & Mary entered conference play as one of the hottest teams in the CAA with a 10-1 record on the season with the lone loss coming in the season opener against St. John’s. In conference play, the Tribe has dropped a 10-point game at Charleston and a four-point decision Friday night at Towson to stand 3-2 in conference action. Marlena Tremba leads William & Mary with 14.3 points per contest to date. She’s followed by Alexandra Masaquel’s 11.9 points per game. Abby Rendle recorded the second triple-double in school history against ECU to close out nonconference play with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocks.

LOOKING BACK
Elon had its Division I program record winning streak snapped at nine Friday night with a 76-70 loss at home to James Madison in front of a program record 1,412 fans. Shay Burnett led Elon with 20 points and 12 rebounds. All five of Elon’s starters scored in double figures with just four points coming off the bench – a season low for the Phoenix, which shot 33.3 percent and 3-for-28 from long distance.

TIME FOR A NEW STREAK
Elon’s nine-game winning streak was the most the program has won in a row since transitioning to Division I. The last time Elon had won that many in a row came during a 12-game winning streak in 1981-82 under coach Mary Jackson. That streak is the program’s third-longest winning streak of all-time.

CLIMBING HIGH
Elon checked in this week as the top mid-major in the NCAA RPI at No. 22. The Phoenix also climbed to No. 6 in the espnW Mid-Major poll and to No. 16 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll.

MILESTONE WATCH
Senior guard Lauren Brown has accumulated 997 career points heading into Sunday. Within striking distance of the milestone, Brown is looking to become the 21st member of the 1,000-point club. She would be the most recent to accomplish the feat since Kelsey Harris reached 1,000-career points in February 2014. Not far behind Brown is senior forward Jenifer Rhodes with 927 career points and junior guard Shay Burnett at 938 career points.

LOOKING AHEAD
Elon’s three-game road swing will continue with games at Northeastern on Friday night and Hofstra on Sunday afternoon. Tip against the Huskies is set for 7 p.m. and against the Pride in New York at 1 p.m.
