Henderson, a 6-4 senior forward, made nine-of-14 shots from the floor, including four-of-six three-point shots. He had 14 points at halftime, which helped the Quakers (15-3, 8-1 ODAC) erase a 13-0 deficit and take a 36-22 halftime lead.

Lynchburg (10-8, 4-5 ODAC) knocked down its first three-pointers as Guilford had three turnovers and three missed shots in its first five possessions. Allen Jay’s triple 17:25 before the break gave the hosts a 13-0 edge before Alston Thompson got Guilford on the board with two free throws 2:59 into the game.

Lynchburg missed 11 straight shots and had two turnovers before Lyndon White’s jumper stopped the bleeding and made it a 26-15 game 8:05 before the half. Henderson answered with his second triple of the half to start a 7-0 spurt that gave Guilford an insurmountable 33-15 edge with 4:08 left in the first half.

Lynchburg battled back to within 55-50 with 5:25 remaining in regulation, but the Quakers’ Jarrod Rogers’ knocked down a three on the ensuing possession, which was followed by Henderson’s fourth and final trifecta. The three-pointer with 4:11 remaining iced the win as Guilford held a 61-50 advantage.

Guilford shot just under 47 percent from the floor, including a 10-for-23 (.435) effort from three-point range. In addition to Henderson’s season-high four three-pointers, Rogers and Carson Long both made three trifectas. Thompson finished with 17 points, 11 in the second half, and joined Henderson and Zachary Houston with seven rebounds apiece. Rogers compiled 11 points and five assists off the bench.

White netted 10 of his 12 points in the second half and grabbed a game-best nine rebounds.
