Going to get scores from other games up for you and we will be back to talk more on this later on tonight….

Northeast Guilford girls 58, Eastern Alamance 43…NEW(15-3/9-2)
Ragsdale boys 56, Glenn 49
Southern Guilford girls 55, Central Davidson 17
Eastern Alamance girls 74, Northeast Guilford 39
Ragsdale girls 40, Glenn 23

Here are the scores from Dudley and we are getting started good:
Girls:Dudley 63, Smith 33…Boys:Dudley 72, Smith 70 in Overtime…Last time it was Dudley 47, Smith 45 in regulation…Bang the Drum Loudly tonight…

Just back from the Dudley-Smith games and we will be getting all of the scores up here, but man what a week with SEG-Dudley last Friday night(1 point game), NWG-SWG on Saturday with a one-point game(girls) and a two-point game(boys) there, over to GDS-WES on Tuesday for that battle, a five-point game and then tonight with the Dudley and Smith boys going into OT…That’s some wild games over the past 7 days…

Dudley girls led by Teara Johnson, who was playing like Magic Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Larry Johnson and Frank Johnson all rolled into one tonight…Remember Frank with Wake Forest and later saw some significant time in the NBA, and we all recall, Magic, Kevin and Grand MaMa/Larry and any way, Teara and her team went on a tear early and ran out to a lead of 26-0, to begin the game…We had T. Johnson with 26 and the coach had her with 24 and Kierra Beasley was playing big for the Dudley girls as well in tonight’s game and we has her with 13 points and three three’s….Dudley girls hot from the start tonight…Dudley up 24-0 at the end of the first quarter…

Dudley boys were led by Brion Seagraves, Josh Hopkins, Tim Boulware and DJ Crossen….Unofficially Seagraves with 15d and some key free throws down the stretch and a little bit of redemption from last Friday night when those free throws wouldn’t go down vs. SEG and tonight, they did plus three left-handed three’s and a big steal to help seal the deal in OT…Hopkins talking 17 points unofficially and missed big dunk, but he overcame that miss and hit some very big including two free throws late in in the contest…Boulware with unofficially 13 points and he left the game with injury and came back in to hit three key free throws when the game was on the line and he was on the foul line….Crossen with with 11 points in our book and he fouled out, but not before he made a statement that his basketball game is coming together…

Smith was without junior center Jaylen Gainey, who was hospitalized earlier this week with a stomach virus and then he started suffering from dehydration and Smith was also minus Tyrece Cheek….But Smith battled all night long and the Golden Eagles got large games from Isaiah Bigelow, Naja McClendon, Silas Mason, Jordan Williams and Josh Crutchfield and Smith was in this game all night long….Williams and Mason are freshmen and McClendon is a sophomore and they fought hard on the road tonight at Dudley…Smith did not want to go home tonight, they were sticking around and led by those young players, they were going to get their monies worth out of this ball game…Dudley would be working on the seal, hit one of two at the line and Smith would come down and either tie the game with an Isaiah Bigelow three or get a two from Williams or a free throws from McClendon or Mason…Both teams missed their fair share of free throws, but when they had to have them, they were “butter”…

Late in the game, Brion Seagraves hit a two-point pull up short jumper where the ball hit the rim and the ball just laid on the rim for five seconds and rolled back like it wanted to fall out and then ball rolled forward and fell through for two…Like something you don’t see every day….

Here’s how the boys game went rolling along and Smith led at the end of the 3rd Q…
End of 1st Q:Dudley 16, Smith 11…Halftime:Dudley 31, Smith 26…End of 3rd Q:Smith 46, Dudley 43…End of Regulation:Dudley 64, Smith 64…Final:Dudley 72, Smith 70 (OT)

  1. T Johnson was lights out for the Panthers! Wow! Smith could not shut her down. Looks like they are getting hot at the right time…

Ragsdale vs. Glenn girls score was 40 – 23. Was told Tigers were cold as ice all night, but still battled to an ugly “W”…
