High School Basketball Tonight in and around Greensboro and Guilford County

*****We are going to add some more teams, names and numbers, but this is what we are working on right now…*****
All games at 6pm unless otherwise noted….
Greensboro Day School at Forsyth Country Day 5:45…GDS boys(26-3/2-0)…FCD(15-10/0-2)
Smith at Page..Page girls now at (6-1) conference after loss to SEG last night…Page boys beat Grimsley twice last week and SEG last night…Smith girls will be minus PG Symphony Jackson who was injured late in the Smith win over SEG last Friday night…
Northern Guilford at Northeast Guilford…NG girls (18-1/12-0) and NEG girls (16-3/10-2) and this game is worth checking out to see how NEG holds up against the pressure that NG brings to Mid-State 3-A girls court…
High Point Central at Northwest Guilford….NWG boys at (15-4/4-2) and HP Central at (12-5/4-1) and Central has already beaten NWG once(62-58) and the Viking boys can not afford another loss, with SWG due to check in at NWG, next Tuesday night…Central much-improved on the girls side, but NWG should way too tough with Little Lindsay, Big Liz, Bria Gibbs, Sandra Wommack and a healthy Cayla King on the go…
High Point Christian at Wesleyan Christian Academy…WES boys at (23-3) and HPCA at (16-7)…Could be the last crack at WES for Jalen Seegars and HPCA…WES girls(18-5) should roll…
Western Alamance at Eastern Guilford…The EG boys(16-3/11-2 are now a team to watch and we got to see them last Friday night at NG and they are impressive..Ramal Patterson got them started and then Jaylen Alston and Montez Venable, along with Nic Cheeley and Dominique Graves took care of the rest, from the view of the ‘Cats top five…
Southern Alamance at Southeast Guilford…Girls:SA(3-14/1-5)…SEG(12-8/4-2)…Boys:SA(4-13/2-4)…SEG(9-12/3-4)…SEG girls can still make a run on Page and Dudley and after last night’s win at Page, things are looking up for SEG girls with just two weeks left in the regular season…The SEG boys have hit a WALL…Much better team than in the past, but much harder to get the wins when face a team for the second time around….SEG boys will not slip up on anybody now…Team know that Falcons will be tough and they can play, but they have to make sure that they get that point across to each other, going into their next game(Tonight)…..
Ragsdale at Southwest Guilford….If there was a team that might be able to sneak in and knock off the SWG, it could be Ragsdale(12-8/3-3)…SWG(14-5/4-1)) has to hang in there tight with one conference loss already and Ragsdale gave NWG a good, close game before falling 50-35 back on Friday night…The SWG(16-2/5-0) boys just need to keep a stiff upper lip and just keep on playing hard and find some way to make every game challenging…At NWG next Tuesday night and can’t afford to look ahead….Ragsdale boys(8-12/2-4)…
Western Guilford at North Forsyth…WG boys(10-8/5-2) have been really rolling lately…And talk about a “Next Up” test, North Forsyth is that TEST, with the Vikings at (15-6/8-1)…If Hornets can win this BIG road game, they are the are not the pretenders, or the contenders, they are the ATTENDERS….Come see them…WG girls at (3-13/2-5) have a great chance to win against NF(1/19/0-5)…WG best them first time around, 56-15 and WG just knocked off Asheboro last Friday, 50-29…
Grimsley at Dudley…Dudley girls at (12-8/5-2) and Dudley boys at (11-7/6-1)….Grimsley at Dudley tonight and Page at Dudley on Friday night…Grimsley girls at (0-18/0-6) and Grimsley boys at (4-15/1-5)…..Dudley boys can maintain the perch at the top of the conference standings and the Dudley girls can make a run at Page if the Lady Panthers keep on winning all week long…
Central Davidson at Southern Guilford…SG girls at (9-9/5-3) and CD(6-11/4-3)….SG could really use this one with Roberts, Wheless and Williams really needing to get heated up/hot quickly….Boys SG(9-9/5-3) and CD(5-12/2-5)…SG boys are expected to win this one and they better or they get one of those Evan Fancourt Liberty Oak tables broken over their heads…And like in professional wrestling, the table would already be broken before it hit them, so no liabilities here….
Randleman at High Point Andrews…HPA girls looking good at (11-6/4-0) and over the last five years, they have lost a handful of conference games, if any…RAND girls at (7-11/2-4)….HPA boys(12-6/5-0)…RAND(10-8/2-4)…
WS Prep at Bishop McGuinness 6:15…Girls:Bishop(9-10/5-3)…WSP(0-13/0-7)…Boys:Bishop(12-7/5-3)…WSP(15-3/8-00
Eastern Alamance at Rockingham County…ROCK girls(18-2/11-2)…EA(10-9/4-8)…Boys:EA(17-2/11-1)…
