Southwest Guilford hosted the Glenn Bobcats tonight in Piedmont Triad 4A conference action.

The Bobcats came into tonight looking to end an 8 game losing skid and pick up their first victory in conference play. The Cowboys were looking to keep a firm grip on the top spot and stay perfect on the year. In this, the last regular season match up as conference opponents, the Cowboys look to win a 13th in a row over Glenn. It was just last Friday these two squads squared off over at Glenn, and the Cowboys controlled the contest in the 101-73 victory.

Tonight the Cowboys came out focused and led wire to wire. Getting up 5-0 within the opening 75 seconds. The Bobcats got on the board with a dunk in transition to make it 5-2. The teams traded baskets making it 7-4, which was as close as it was to be for the rest of the game. Southwest then went on a 22-0 blitz capped off with a nice dunk in transition making it 29-4 at the 1:25 mark. The Bobcats got a band-aid put on the hemorrhaging wound with a made free-throw making it 29-5, but back to back baskets by Southwest made it 33-5. Glenn managed a couple of free-throws just before the frame ended at 33-7.

The second quarter was the Keyshaun Langley show. The frame opened with the teams trading baskets, but then the Cowboys asserted themselves even more. Keyshaun Langley connected on 8 three pointers, one of which was from Glenn High School. Mr. Langley scored all of his 24 points in that frame. In the process the margin got up to 66-26 by the 2:20 mark. The Cowboys bench finished off the opening half which took the tally to 72-33.

The second half was over in a blink as the Cowboys ran the clock out on the Bobcats. Tonight was an excellent team showing for the Cowboys as the entire roster contributed throughout the night.

Glenn was led by Rachard Daniels with 13 points. Southwest leading scorers on the night were; Keyshaun Langley with (24, 6 Rebs, 3 Asts, 3 Stls), Brandon Lamberth with (17, 7 Rebs, Stl, Ast), Dezmond Woods with (15, 3 Rebs, 2 Asts), and Kameron Langley with (14, 7 Rebs, 7 Asts, 3 Stls). Kobe Langley also helped spark the offense with his 10 Assists to go along with his 3 points, rebounds and steals apiece.

Southwest improves to 18-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play. The Cowboys finish up the week at East Forsyth tomorrow night.
