KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Elon University women’s golf team used a two-under par round from Heather Munro to gain one place on the leaderboard following two rounds of the 2017 Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic on Monday.
With one round remaining to be played, the Phoenix sits 11th out of 43 teams in the field.
The Highlights
For the second day in a row, Munro went under par as she carded a two-under par 70. She notched five birdies on Monday, giving her nine through the first two rounds of action. Munro is three-under for the tournament and sits in a tie for third among the 232 players.
Aurelia Hamm posted two birdies on Monday as she fired a 76 on day two. After two rounds of play, Hamm is tied for 36th with a mark of 150.
Kelsey Badmaev bounced back after shooting nine-over on Sunday to card a one-over 73 during her second 18 holes. Badmaev had two birdies on Monday and is tied for 76th.
Hilda Kristjansdottir will enter the final day in a tie for 124th with a two-day mark of 159, while Anali Otazo Rodas sits in a tie for 190th with a score of 166.
