Final:Reidsville 5, Western Alamance 2….Reidsville Rams, 2017 Champions at the Graham Easter Tournament

GRAHAM — Two late runs weren’t enough for Western Alamance to overcome a five-run hole as the Warriors lost 5-2 to Reidsville in the championship of the Graham Boosters Easter Tournament on Tuesday night at Tom Zachary Field.
Reidsville (10-5) scored first when Jake Perdue doubled on the first pitch of the third inning and scored on Josh Johnson’s triple into the right-center field gap three pitches later. Johnson scored from there on a wild pitch, but that was the only damage from the Rams’ nine hits across the first three innings.
Perdue’s RBI groundout in the fourth was manufactured after a hit, steal, walk and sacrifice bunt, giving the Rams a 3-0 lead and chasing pitcher Jordan Hodge from the mound.
It took until the top of the sixth of the 12th game in this tournament for the first (and only) home run, which was a two-run shot lined over the left field fence by Noah Johnson.
