*****He’s not as big as he once was, but he can still get big with the bat and be as big once, as he ever was….*****
Cameron Brantley, the right fielder for the Ardrey Kell Knights, was once 5’9 200 and now he’s lost 10 pounds and he is still as big once as he ever was, and the junior has committed to attend the University of North Carolina when his high school career is complete….
He may be a little bit smaller than he once was, but he continues to put up BIG numbers for the AK Knights, as they head to Southeast Guilford High School, for a NCHSAA Round Two 4-A Baseball Playoff game, on Friday night…..
Brantley(2017) is hitting .410 with two home runs, eight doubles, two triples and 20 RBIs. He’s safely stolen 19 bases in 20 attempts, setting a school record.
For his career, Brantley’s hit .422 with a .592 on-base percentage, where .450 would be considered good. He has 84 career RBIs, 86 runs scored, eight home runs and 30 stolen bases. He’s also walked 61 times, another school record.
