Ardrey Kell kept letting SE get on and steal… and when they get to running, then its game over!
Every hitter should study Cam Brantley. His balance, pitch selection and swing are spot on. He is a stud hitter. Box score shows 1-3 but every at bat was quality. And he made power contact every at bat.
Southeast Guilford was also able to find their way home on some of the AK wild pitches too…
The opposing team puts way too much pressure on themselves when they continue to create plays at the plate where the catcher has no chance to survive/succeed….
Ball to backstop and Falcons score easily on more than one occasion, but on the converse side you have to continue to put yourself in position to score and SEG did that to be sure, by their work running the bases between first and third….
That was some kind of shot off the bat of Brantley that carried to deep center field and was hauled in by Justin Guy headed toward the fence…He got all of the that one, but the Kevin Callahan Field can be unforgiving….
It stayed in the park and mark one up for the Falcons last night….
SEG should be home again next Tuesday night, set to face the Winner between East Forsyth and South Caldwell this afternoon up at Granite Falls/Hudson…
They have a real nice stadium up there, kind of a throwback to the past where the American Legion team plays…The team that Madison Baumgarner played for when he was up at South Caldwell…
