This year(2017), in addition to the North Carolina-South Carolina Shrine Bowl football game, there will be a game for the 7th and 8th graders and a game for the 6th graders…Two additional Shrine Bowl games featuring the 6th graders in one game and the 7th and 8th graders in another game…NC vs. SC times three you might say and guess what???
The Youth Shrine Bowl game is the brainchild of Fayetteville South View football coach Rodney Brewington. Brewington’s high school team at South View beat West Charlotte 10-7 in the N.C. 4A championship in 1991.
