LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior Kimberly Johansen of the Elon University women’s track and field team extended her stay at the NCAA East Preliminaries after qualifying for the quarterfinal round in the 1,500-meters on Thursday, May 25, at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Complex.
Johansen, who entered the meet at No. 39 in the regional rankings in the 1,500-meters, finished 22nd overall in the event with her time of 4:23.62. Elon continues its run at the NCAA East Preliminaries with redshirt junior Bre’anna Warren and junior Bryanna Hames competing in the discus throw tomorrow, May 26. The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
