There are 12 seniors on the 2017 NCHSAA 3-A East Regional Champion Nighthawks’ roster…

Junior right-hander Riley Cheek (9-2 record), senior right-hander Dylan Izzi (9-1) and sophomore left-hander C.J. Mayhue (3-0 with three saves) lead the Crest pitching staff.

And senior catcher Logan McNeely (.434 average, five home runs, 38 RBIs) leads an offense that has a collective .307 batting average. Other top hitters are junior outfielder Nick Melton (.384, one home run, 22 RBIs), Cheek (.383, five home runs, 20 RBIs), senior first baseman Ben Ledbetter (.323, three home runs, 19 RBIs), sophomore outfielder Lawson Harrill (.313, 22 RBIs) and freshman outfielder Riley Caseh (.306, eight RBIs).
