Carlos Rodon(N.C. State) working on getting/being ready, but not ready right now for return to the majors(Chicago White Sox)

He’s working on his return to the Chicago White Sox, but Carlos Rodon has some more work to do in the minors, before he makes his return to the majors, but he got his work in on Tuesday, going for the WS Dash vs. the Carolina Mudcats and here is the report on how things went for Rodon….

Carlos Rodon struck out the side for the Winston-Salem Dash in the first inning, taking down the Carolina Mudcats in order, then he ran into some holes in his road, and ended up going 3 1/3 Innings, giving up 5 runs on 4 hits, with 2 BB’s and 6 total K’s, facing 16 batters, while throwing 71 pitches, 43 of those 71 pitches went for strikes….

Not a bad outing for Rodon, but still he has a lot of work to do, to get back to full strength….He said he felt strong, but he did not last as long as he would have liked….He did have a support team at the contest in Zebulon….

Elliott Avent, Rodon’s coach at N.C. State, was at the Winston-Salem Dash-Carolina Mudcats game at Five County Stadium, in Zebulon and Avent told WRALSportsFan.com, in Raleigh:

“It’s good to be here at the Mudcats and see Carlos, (former NC State OF)Jake Fincher, Weston Wilson(Wesleyan Christian Academy) out there from Clemson (who I recruited) and Corey Ray (who I coached on the USA Team), and Landon Lassiter (UNC),” Avent said.
