Page Coach Jared Rolfes on the win from Doug Mead with the WS Journal…..
“Our special teams and our defense continued to show up and do some good things,” he said. “But I also thought our offense played well in the first half. We had a really good drive to start the game. As long as we continue to reduce our mistakes, I think we have a chance to be a pretty good football team.”

Rolfes also felt Alex Angus’ interception return for a TD was the turning point in the game.

“I think anytime you go up by two possession in any game that’s a big deal,” he said. “It was early, and I thought that was a big play. We knew we were going to have to play well just to win the football game, much less win it by as much as we did.”

South View over Westover, 29-26…..
Former Greensboro Smith coach Rodney Brewington saw his South View team improve to (5-0) last night and here is what the coach had to say after the game:
“We knew just on film how strong they were, how fast they were. We knew they were the more athletic team,” the coach said. “We had a couple of balls bounce our way. You need a little luck in there, and that’s what we were able to do.”
Coach Rodney Brewington said South View expected a physical game against Westover.
