Pride Men Suffer First Conference Loss Against N.C. Wesleyan, 4-1

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Greensboro College men’s soccer team fell to the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan Wednesday, 4-1.

The Bishops were able to take a one-goal lead just eight minutes into the contest before Carlos Barragan got Greensboro on the board in the 28th minute to tie the match at one.

However, N.C. Wesleyan was able to add three more goals in the half to take a 4-1 halftime lead before holding on for the three-goal victory.

The Pride and the Bishops both recorded 11 shots on the afternoon with seven of them being on the goal frame.

Barragan finished with a team-high three shots on goal, while Ryan Mule, Gerardo Peraza, Jordy Briceno and Darli Mihnidou each had one shot on goal. Jaime Payamps took the loss for Greensboro despite recording three saves.
