Outlook: Trying to replace the leadership and production of J.P. Moorman (Temple signee) and the stability at point guard with Jordan Perkins (NC Central) is not going to be easy. However, the Bengals still return plenty of experience from last season’s team, which won another state title and earned a DICK’s Nationals berth, and head coach Freddy Johnson found some impressive players to help reload the roster. Senior guards John Newman, Will Dillard, and Alex Michael are the foundation players, but expect transfer 2018 point guard Tripp Greene, who averaged 18 points per game at Forsyth Country Day last season, 2019 forward Nicholas Evtimov, and 2021 guard Carson McCorkle to have solid, contributing roles throughout the year.

Coach Freddy Johnson opens the season with a career record of 992-283 in 40 seasons, meaning that he should hit the 1,000 win milestone relatively early in the season.
They’ve only released teams 25-16. Wesleyan will be in there, too. Count on it.
Their matchups with GDS this year will be epic.
Yes, we were looking for WES and like you say, they should be showing up later as more teams are released…

Wesleyan comes in at No. 12. Would’ve been top 10 if Ian Steere hadn’t transferred out.
The real talk is that the Trojans will no doubt beat the bengals this year. Credit to coach Johnson however not real hard to do when you have the players he has had over the past years I mean look at peter he was definately not of high school age. I truely think they need to check into coach johnsons recruiting tactics like they do for others.
Let’s talk so more real talk While we are on the top 25. The lady trojans look to possibly be a top 25 team. We all know that the lady bengals can’t hack that. The number one reason is they need a true expierenced coach which they do not have. Coach Johnson just wants the spotlight for himself and not the girls program. I feel that is a shame and unfair to these girls. The bengals really need to get a real coach and not a yes man.
