CHARLOTTE, N.C. — High Point University men’s basketball sophomore Jahaad Proctor has been named the Big South Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday (Nov. 13).
Proctor made a splash in his HPU debut, recording game highs of 28 points and six assists. His 28 points were the second-most in the conference over the opening weekend and his six assists were the most. He also tallied five rebounds as the Panthers recorded the only Big South Division I win on opening night.
It is the first Big South weekly honor for Proctor and he is the first Panther to win the award since Andre Fox on Nov. 21, 2016.
The Panthers return to action Tuesday (Nov. 14) at Tennessee at 7 p.m.
