More scores and info on the way and that headline has to get us started….Could have been the Games of the Week, the Games of the Month and the Games of the Year, all rolled into one, in those two games over at Page High School tonight….

Packed house at Page, the AC was working OT and it could not keep up, the PA system went out in the second half, the Page students rushed the floor at the end of the boys game, which Page won on a Buzzer-Beater by Trent McIntyre and he hit four Free Throws down the stretch with two foul shots and two technical foul shots and he went 4-4 with 4:11 left in the game to push Page in front and Page went up by as many as 8 late, but Dudley came flying back and tied the game on three’s and then McIntyre hit the game-winner as the clock hit Triple Zeros….
Pretty much standing room only and you had to stand to be able to see the game, everyone was standing up and nobody could sit down, this game was so tight…Like we said, the students(Page Pirates) hit the floor when this game was done/over and it was one for the books tonight at the Mac Morris Gym…
Final:Page boys 59, Dudley 57
End of 1st Q:Page 18, Dudley 14….Halftime:Dudley 36, Page 32…End of 3rQ:Dudley 44, Page 40….
Tim Boulware led Dudley(3-1) with 13 points….Trent McIntyre led Page(3-0) with 17 points and we will have more score notes coming in….

Final:Page girls 52, Dudley 51
End of 1st Q:Dudley 10, Page 10….Halftime:Page 25, Dudley 20….End of 3rd Q:Page 33, Dudley 32….
Emma Heard led Page with 22 big points….Leanna Hunt with 21 and Symphony Jackson with 12 points paced the Dudley Panthers…Jackson in the second half and helped spark the Dudley rally, but Heard with help from Dee Graves, Ava Casper and Tink Patterson made Page the winner and the crowd was into this game really big too….I think the Thursday night crowd was feeling this game like it was Friday and they were looking for something to get fired up about tonight at the Mac Morris Gym…
More details on the Girl’s Game coming in the game report….

We are digging up more scores and will have them here soon….

  1. Smith vs Northwest game was not that close. Smith was up by 25-30 points but started playing with Northwest. The Northwest players looked afraid. The two starting guards for Northwest played well but the rest of the team is soft and scared. They will lose a lot of games. The coaches looked lost. Smith did not play well tonight. Hopefully Smith will this team in the HAECO.

  2. Tough tough ball game tonight, page/dudley was another classic. The bank was open at the end of the night for McIntyre and the Pirates! <3

  3. Smith played ok. Looks like they took the foot off the gas a little. I thought NW played ok with what they have to work with. I think they will get better because of that coaching staff.

  4. At least 90% of the scoring off of last year’s NWG boys team is gone…They are pretty much starting from scratch and starting over…Going to take them a while to get it together and it will a true growing and developmental year/season….

  5. Southwest vs. Ragsdale girls was intense. Great battle. Ragsdale was cold at the start and got down 13-1. Missed some open layups and free throws. Fought back to a 3 point deficit at halftime. Ragsdale really turned up the defensive heat in the second half. Tremendous stop after stop. Ragsdale likes to run. SW girls out of gas and could not get open looks for Price or Carter. Held SW to just 2 points in 4th quarter. Good win for the Tigers against a good SW squad who have not had success against SW for years. Will be interesting to see how SW bounces back against NW next week. Ragsdale plays a very good Reagan team tonight, which beat SW in a close one first game of their season.
