WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Greensboro College men’s basketball team fell in an exhibition contest against NCAA Division I member UNC-Wilmington Thursday, 101-60.

The Pride struggled from the field early and could not recover as the Seahawks shot 52 percent from the field on the day.

“Overall we played hard tonight against a much bigger team than we are used to playing,” Head Coach Bryan Galuski said. “We had several positives in the game as we played at a higher level than we have in the past few games.

“Two of the areas that we wanted to see improvement tonight and did is going hard from the ball and rebounding. We have to continue this momentum as we head into Saturday’s game.”

Joseph Gatling had a team-high 14 points and hauled in three rebounds. Darus Maddox finished with nine points and a team-high nine rebounds, while Daron Gipson finished with eight points on four-of-six shooting from the field.

The Pride men will return to action at 2 p.m. Saturday when they host Saint Mary’s College of Maryland in Hanes Gymnasium. For more information on Greensboro College men’s basketball, continue to follow www.greensborocollegesports.com.
