Hammie & Tuders Added To Pride Softball Staff

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Chalise Hammie and Steven Tuders have been added to the Greensboro College softball staff, Head Coach Teresa Fister announced Monday.

“I am thrilled to announce and welcome Coach Hammie and Coach Tuders to our staff,” Fister said. “Both of their passion and commitment to this team are evident. I am looking forward to the positive impact that they will make on this program and our student-athletes.”

Hammie, a 2011 graduate of Greensboro College, was a member of the Pride softball team from 2008 to 2011 before serving as an assistant coach and strength and conditioning coach at Greensboro’s Page High School.

In addition to her coaching experience, Hammie also served as a mentor for the Pirates, helping the student-athletes with their physical skills while also helping them build character and leadership skills.

Tuders brings 17 years of softball coaching experience to the Pride.

He began coaching for the City of Greensboro City Girls fast-pitch softball team in 2000 and held that role until 2012.

Tuders then went on to coach the GBC Crushers 16U team and the Greensboro Travel Ball 18U softball team, while also serving as an assistant coach at Guilford College for four seasons.

In addition to his role with the Pride, Tuders also serves as the head coach for the 6 Points Sports Academy.
