The ‘Big Bear’ has left the arena:Wrestling Legend Barry Cohen gone at age 70

He trained “Bam Bam” Terrence Coalson, ‘Cowboy’ Chris Star, ‘The Libyan Assassin’, ‘Soulman’ Ken Stainback, Jimmy “The Genius”, ‘The Outlaw’/”The Dream Warrior” Mark Vance, any many other local professional wrestlers….

He helped put Plato’s Crash Landing on the map as a true Wrestling Arena….

He ran wrestling shows and trained wrestlers at the Greensboro Boxing Center, aka The Lindley Recreation Center….

He came to Greensboro as ‘The Big Bear’ and now “The Big Bear” has left Greensboro, as Barry Cohen died this week at the age of 70 and he faced an opponent that has never lost a match, and that opponent was Cancer…

“The Big Bear”, gone but surely not forgotten…..Barry Cohen going, going, going, GONE…..And he leaves a legacy that no one else can touch…

RIP:Barry Cohen….We could not begin to list the things we learned from this ‘Wrestling Legend’……….

REIDSVILLE Devoted husband, supportive father and loving grandfather, Barry Cohen died at age 70, after a short but uncompromising attack from cancer. His life will be remembered during a service at 2 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018, at Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum.
