Bishop McGuinness took on the #1 team in the state, Winston-Salem Prep, for the 3rd time in 8 days in the semi-finals of the NW-1A conference tournament. Prep jumped out to an early lead and the Villains couldn’t muster up enough to battle back. CJ Cappuccio led the scoring effort with 13 points but Jake Babcock led the defensive side 5 blocks. Ryan Moon fought through injury all night to add 10 points of his own. The Villains will learn their state playoff fate on Saturday.
