Durham woman tries to sell stolen Giancarlo ‘Mike’ Stanton card for $900.00(value $700.00 to $8,000.00) and she brought it to Cards at the Cages in Greensboro

A Durham, N.C. woman stole a Giancarlo ‘Mike’ Stanton rookie baseball card from a man in Raleigh, and then she tried to sell the card and now she(Tanya Thompson) is in a lot of “hot water”….The baseball card was a limited-edition rookie card and is very valuable to right/correct buyer….Stanton played with the Greensboro Grasshoppers back in 2008 and the woman in our story ended up trying to sell the Mike Stanton baseball card, in Greensboro, at the Cards at the Cages(inside the Greensboro Batting Center), of all places….

Investigators say Tanya Thompson “unlawfully and willfully did possess a Bowman Chrome 2008 Mike Stanton rookie baseball card” that had been taken from a Raleigh man’s home this month. The card was listed as number 81 of 225 cards created by the manufacturer.

Investigators say the offenses happened on April 10 and April 11. They say Thompson tried to sell the card at the Trading Co-Op on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh and Cards At The Cages in Greensboro.
